Worth a try, I guess. But I know a lot of Mormons, and all of them are already firmly decided for Trump. So I don’t know how much if an impact this will make.
I guess the Mormons around me are built different, because I don’t know any that like Trump.

I’m still not gonna vote for her, but this is a good strategy, because most Mormons are more independent and liberal than people think. I wish more socialist parties would reach out because there is a lot of overlap between socialism and Mormonism.
Source: I’m Mormon (actually we say LDS now).
So you’re just not going to vote?
I’m voting third party. I’ve voted in every election since 1988.
Mormons really are a different breed of Republican, look how they strongly voted for an independent candidate in 2016 (at least in Utah). That said, the vast majority of those people drank the Trump koolaid and have now fallen in line. It’s sad really, they used to stand for something.
All the Mormons I personaly know are still very independent and don’t like Trump. But I’m sure that is based on region.
Are they also somehow simultaneous fake Satanists?
I don’t know. What is a fake Satanist? Can you describe one to me and what you think is fake and real when it comes to the tenets of modern-day Satanism?
Firstly, they don’t know how to spell Satanism. And secondly, they claim to be the polar opposite at the same time.
So that’s what a fake one is?! Spelling error due to clumsy phone fingers is the defining mark?! Hmmm, hey, that doesn’t sound very legit. Are you sure?
Nice deflection but I am a Christian and also an atheist who hates Christians. Makes full sense.
Oh yea, I almost forgot you were voting for Drump
I’m not voting for Trump tho.
A vote for third party in this country at this time with the current voting system is a vote for Trump. Similarly, a non-vote is a vote for Trump.
In effect “I’m not voting for Harris” == “I’m voting for Trump”
Just go join your Trumpet friends on Truth Social already
Just go join your Trumpet friends on Truth Social already
But I’m not voting for Trump. I’ll stay right here and keep posting. Thanks!
Lol whatever you say, Trumpet
Feel free to believe whatever you want to believe. I’m still not voting for your candidate though. :)
Every vote for Harris is stealing a vote from third-party candidates who represent real change. By sidelining those voices, you’re indirectly helping Trump win!
Ah yes, the third-parties who have a 0% chance of winning because of the rigged 2 party system.
If you ever want to see a third party candidate, it’s in your best interest to vote Harris to keep Trump out of office.
Once that’s done, then work can be done on getting states to switch over to RCV or similar, if enough states switch (or a miracle happens and a federal law mandates it for federal offices) then we might actually see a third party candidate in office for once, maybe even by 2028
But not if Drump gets in office
Exactly what the Duopoly wants you to think.
But hey, I respect and support your right to vote for whoever you want to. And I’ll vote for who I want to.
I’m concerned you might not have time to vote, since you post here on average every eighteen minutes.
That’s like on average every eighteen minutes, day and night and week day or weekend.
For nearly a month and a half now.
You’re Mormon and you call yourself a socialist?
Socialism is the antithesis of religion.
I think OP means the part where both emphasize taking care of your community, since that can be done with or without religion. Some ideas are so good that many groups adopt them.
Religion has very flawed ideas regarding community, however. It always results in a hierarchical structure and works to exclude those who don’t abide by its values.
It is possible to be a good, selfless person and be religious, but I don’t think it’s possible to have religion without enabling power-grabbing, insular practices too.
You’re exactly right, friend. I don’t believe in all the Mormon religious stuff, but I like the culture, hard work ethic, health attitudes and ideas on education. I’m a proud Mormon socialist.
Socialism is the antithesis of religion.
Not really. Socialism is a broad term with a lot of meanings. People often assume socialism requires antitheism because specific Communists venerated the state above all, and pointed to religion as a competing priority. Marxism was born in a context where the Church was seen as the ultimate authority. Monarchs and oligarchs claimed divinity as their reason to rule above all. Casting off classism meant defying thousands of years of faith-based indoctrination.
Today, most capitalist nations are ostensibly secular, or at least exist in cooperation with faith in a way that permits pluralism. Boundaries are strictly geographical, and cultural and ideological exchanges can occur between almost anyone almost anywhere. Governmental authority in most countries is no longer linked to religious faith, so socialist ideals do not necessarily need to contradict any particular religion. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t.
Great post!
Early Mormon teachings included giving up all your property to the community. Maybe they took that to heart?
Actually lotsa Mormon causes overlap a lot of socialist causes. Not every Mormon is a conservative.

Unfortunatly, until voter and electoral college reforms are past, your choices are red team or blue team. The luxury of voting for who you prefer has been gone for decades. In order to get the policies you support passed you need to vote against the opposition.
I would have supported burnie for the last entire decade if I didnt feel I had to stand with the crowd against darth cheeto every time I go to the polls.
What are your congregations thoughts on other counting methods (Ranked choice / Instant run-off / other voting systems)?
your choices are red team or blue team.
Not my choice. I am voting third party and proudly.
You’re ok with me losing my rights then, and for that I sincerely resent you.
I haven’t said anything about your rights. You have the right to support and vote for who you want to vote for. And it’s my right too.
Resent me all you want. I’m still not voting for Harris.
We already know
Yay!
