God, this article is so much cringier than I thought it would be. It’s basically all “that happened” level content, like, “I told the gay lady to respect me and then everybody cheered.”

AGPL, nice

Ordinarily I hate it when archaeologists try to apply meaning to something they found, because they often state plausible theories as if they are facts.
This theory seems to be pretty sound though, looking at the evidence they’ve provided.

Someone should just run on the platform “let the people decide” and hold popular votes for anything that people care about. Set your personal and party politics aside and be a true representative of the people.

One of the perks of having so darn many cameras everywhere - we get to capture rarely recorded events like this regularly.

That’s literally the plot of Stardew Valley. Leaving the world of digital work in favor of something more tangible is a dream come true for many of us.

How is player count meaningless? Even for single player games, that’s the most important number to gauge the ongoing interest in a game. Every player contributes to the strength of the fandom.

Vickers denies murder and manslaughter, describing the incident as a tragic accident.
I mean, isn’t killing someone accidentally while doing dangerous things the very definition of manslaughter?

Oof, the back of those cards is designed as a shooting target. So much for plausible deniability.
Probably technically falls under free speech regardless.
The characters were drawn in a more stylized way in order to add some levity to the punchline panels. You’ll find a similar technique in anime when the characters become chibi during comedic scenes. This emphasizes the idea that a scene shouldn’t be taken seriously.
The artist probably could’ve gone further with the stylization here to drive the point in harder. Right now it looks more “unfinished” than an obvious style change for comedic effect.
Like most things, excessive usage is the problem. A little Botox can be a win but some people overdo it. Faces are supposed to have SOME lines in them!
Which honestly might ACTUALLY force insurance reform because this time it’s not the poors who are suffering.

I don’t know what it is about this author’s style, but I’m getting strong “3D mannequins posed in Blender with a freestyle line modifier attached” vibes. Not that that’s bad in any way, just not a normal workflow in comics.

I said this the other day, but this is because capitalism is society optimizing for the wrong values.
It makes perfect sense if you’re optimizing for profit. It makes terrible sense if you’re optimizing for peace, health, and safety.

It’s the only natural source of pink lemonade flavoring actually.

I wonder how the history books will look back on this. Will there someday be a Rosa Parks of pooping?

Good luck, getting out of the US is a dream for many.
I have a friend who gives off moderate goth vibes, but she says she couldn’t hope to be goth - they are far too expert at accessorizing!

Up in flames amirite?!
How does it compare to stoat?
