Ugh, why even give attention to a scripted fight between an old rapist and a garbage human influencer? I’m just avoiding all this stupid shit

All these pre match fights and arguments are just pro wrestling inspired, scripted drama.

This is what bugs me about Tyson the most.

He has almost a meme celebrity status, he is in the hangover,he appears in rap videos, he was on comedy central roasts… and he is a rapist.

Now if he wanted to stick to boxing and boxing related things, where he was an undisputed legend I’d be fine with it. Its not like he has marketable skills beyond that.

People get meme crazy and start to kind of confuse the person with the memes. I remember back when Biden was VP I found all the Nice uncle Joe memes to be weird. And I’d get downvoted for saying it. I never liked his record before becoming vp due to the drug war and police militarization he assisted. I wonder sometimes if that meme status helped him get elected despite that.

I’ve seen billboards for one of those “Have you been in a motorcycle/car accident?!” law offices and it’s one of the lawyers squaring off with Tyson.

I’ve had so many questions: Did Tyson actually agree to do that? How much did they pay for him to do that? Is this law office illegally using his image? Do these offices usually have these kinds of celebrity-endorsement funds just lying around?

And then, it’s like, why Tyson?! Like, yeah, he’s probably one of the most well known boxers, but… He’s a rapist, and when someone asks me to name a celebrity to endorse lawyers, the first name that comes to mind isn’t “Mike Tyson, obvi.”

It’s just so weird all around.

This fight can only go one of two ways:

Tyson wins, absolutely smoking this clown in round one - and I would be happy.

It is a draw, Tyson loses, Tyson wins but it’s close or Andre the Giant emerges in round 6 and beats them both, confirming the farce this event is.

Tyson was the most dangerous man in a boxing ring by a country mile. Even if he’s lost 80% of his peak strength, he hasn’t forgotten how to box and survive against the hardest punchers in the world.

Anything less that a total Tyson victory is a sign it is rigged/staged more than any fight in history. I would actually have more respect for this amateur clown if he’s allowed Tyson to legit fight and Jake goes down after the first hit.

I look at it more like this:

Tyson wins and Paul looks bad for getting beat by an old man or Paul wins and looks bad because he beat an old man

I’m gonna say this as someone who used to fight muay thai in my youth and who is still a lot younger than Tyson…

You lose speed with age and not a small amount.

Tyson looks in absolutely phenomenal shape for his age and there is no doubting his fight IQ and I really hope he wins but Paul is also in superb condition and looks strong and fit. I’m predicting a close fight, possibly with Tyson gassing. That would be my tactic if I were Paul.

The result I’m hoping for is that the rapist and the streaming pied piper both kill eachother with an accidental punch to the temples.
