Only assholes assume that everything they enjoy in life they earned alone and that they don’t benefit whatsoever from the labor or others.

Depends on the type of filament used and temperatures that are actually present at the knob. I would say no since the temperature required to melt (or warp) the knob would have to be high enough to cause some pretty severe burns if you touched it with your hand. if the knobs on the oven/range are getting that hot, there is a lot more to worry about here than the knob melting.
Now THAT is a life hack.

6·1 年前I don’t know why Meta is so eager to finish destroying itself. How long do you think people will be interested in ready AI-generated mush? Not that the quality has ever been high on Meta’s platforms; this will most likely accelerate the disillusionment with their offerings. I can’t say that is a bad thing, really.

332·1 年前It dives me crazy that influencers and instagram wannabes have declared Ozempic a weight loss drug. As a diabetic, Ozempic has been the most effective glucose controlling medication I have ever taken. It drives me crazy that people see it as an easy weight loss medication. I couldn’t get it for months because of this insanity.
Also FUCK pharmaceutical companies for this predatory pricing shit and fuck our government for allowing this to happen.

There is nothing unhealthy about peanut butter (when I say that I mean ground peanuts, not the brands with an insane number of additives), but almost anything in extreme quantities can be toxic. Even water.

I appreciate the many voices here. It seems like consensus is that the tag is not needed as a general rule. I want to be clear, also, that the NSFW tag is not censorship, but also doesn’t seem necessary either. Thank you guys for chiming in!
How much purge for something like this?

Science Fiction@lemmy.world•Question for those who have read them: is the whole *The Expanse* series good?English
0·2 年前The Expanse if the best books series I have read in years and might be the best science fiction series I’ve ever read. The quality does not diminish (in my opinion), and I am glad I didn’t watch the show beyond the first season before reading the books. But there is a lot more than the show covers. I think you can come back to the Novellas later if you like. They are great but you don’t need to read them alongside the main novels unless you are so inclined.
I hope Lemmy.world does the same.
