The issue is that I’m not fluent in not missing things and having the exact spoken words to read as I hear them helps my ADHD-riddled mind immensely.

It’s less impressive than it sounds, since it’s the Scandinavian ones (Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish) , which are very similar to each other lol.
Other than that, im fluent in English, understand a good deal German (especially written, when given ample time), and remember a little bit of Spanish from school heh.

Yeah i get that reading the subs really helps with focus. It’s even the meta in shorts now to retain attention.
My wife also has ADHD and says that watching stuff at 1.5x or 2x helps.

As an American I’d like to be offended but the reality is many of us aren’t even fluent in our primary tongue so monolingual is being generous.
