JD Vance called for Democrats to reduce their ‘ridiculous and inflammatory political rhetoric’ as his running mate repeatedly calls Harris a ‘fascist’

CNN aired a powerful montage of Donald Trump calling Kamala Harris a “fascist” multiple times after his running mate JD Vance blasted Democrats for using the same word to refer to the former president.

The montage began with a snippet from Vance’s Monday speech in Georgia. The Ohio Senator-turned-GOP vice presidential nominee called for Democrats to reduce the “ridiculous and inflammatory political rhetoric” days after an assassination attempt against Trump — the second in a matter of months.

Vance also said people shouldn’t be talking about the end of Democracy when Trump literally talks about how there will be no more America if Harris gets elected on a regular basis. Including at the debate.

Byron Donalds, a black Republican Representative from Florida, said Democrats need to stop talking about Project 2025, a policy document created by hundreds of people who literally worked for Trump during his term, because it’s “dangerous.”

But he also thinks Trump calling Harris a communist dictator who literally wants to destroy America, take your guns, force everyone’s children to undergo surgical sex reassignment surgery against their will, flood the country with millions of noncitizens so they can vote, among hundreds of other extreme and completely false accusations, are all perfectly fine and fair game.

They all know it’s not consistent. They all know Trump’s rhetoric is worse, but they see a cynical opportunity to gain a political advantage and they take it. Assholes.

The Democrats and Republicans agree that the world isn’t fair. Idealistically, the Democratic response to that fact is trying to make things more fair (minimum wage increases, regulation and customer protections, social services, etc) while the Republican response is to exploit the unfairness for personal gain.
