And progress without testing it’s resiliency against malicious actors will not last. No one likes getting burned but fire is useful for showing us what burns easily and what withstands the heat. We will rebuild stronger and know what works.

Go to a library and spend some time in there. Volunteer to read for storytime or for the blind. Get out and start showing an interest in something. It takes time, but with enough repetition, people will notice you’re a regular and have something to talk about with you. Friends grow when we stop and talk, learn about each other.
Small talk sucks because it’s about something neither person cares about.
