I think it’s so funny that people think the Aztek is the ugliest car of all time, there are so many more that are actually just offensive to the eyes! Apparently the Aztek was really capable in many ways so I’d argue that helps offsets the “ugly”

Apparently, when Breaking Bad was conceived, Walter White was given an Aztek because it polled nationally as the most pathetic car to own.

Probably similar reasoning went into the PT cruiser Skylar got for Jr that completely failed to make up for having to return the charger Walt got him (iirc). Wouldn’t surprise me if that car polled as the car most teens would prefer to walk over, or at least would have back when it was more culturally relevant. Kids probably see it as just another old shitty car these days, rather than a particularly shitty and ugly car.

The only thing worse than its looks was its turn radius, or at least so I’ve been told, since I’ve been lucky enough to never step foot in one.

Never really had an issue with the Aztec though tbh. Maybe because I’ve always put SUVs and minivans in the same category in my head and the Aztec still looked better than many of the 90s minivans. Really blows my mind that so many people like trucks and SUVs outside of their functional capabilities tbh. Like people who never use the bed of their truck or who drive an SUV without needing to regularly haul a bunch of equipment or people. But I guess that’s a seperate topic.

I am shocked by how many cybertrucks I see driving around, but I suppose it makes sense given these people were probably the ones stupid enough to put down the deposit to pre-order the thing back in 2019. If you’re willing to put down a deposit on a vehicle that won’t come out for years, especially one that looks that terrible, then you’d be crazy enough to keep your pre-order to drive such a horrendous thing.

One benefit I do see for the owner is that it certainly draws attention, if that’s what they’re looking for, but I wouldn’t say it’s a positive attention. Some people don’t care and will take all the attention they can get.
