Build community. Volunteer at local organizations such as food bank or mutual aid, or just get your friends together and do something weird like a free public picnic in the park. It’s a lot of fun, you meet lots of cool people. And you make a community more able to resist and protect.
Also stock up on several weeks of food and goods. You’ll want to share when disaster happens.
That statistic makes sense when considering less of the liberal and/or left turned out while the right held their numbers. Guess the right is more effective at getting their youth to participate in the system while the left in this age range are more disenfranchised every generation.
Im mainly angry at ACA for the exact reasons you present here. Many benefited from it but the people i spent the most time around people who still couldn’t access care. Healthcare must be universally free to be meaningful.
That said it did benefit people. Just not what it needed to be.
ACA wasn’t even a bandaid. It only helped the middle class by reducing and capping costs and removing preexisting condition clauses. The poors still couldn’t afford it, and were punished for that either by having to pay for the still expensive insurance or being fined at tax time. It’s not an insignificant reason we got trump in the first place.

My dog associates food time with my meals. Food time is food time for both of us, and not based on what a clock says. So i can sleep in on the weekend. Works out since i generally only eat twice a day anyways. But she gets a treat if i have a third meal.
She used to free feed and maintained a healthy weight. Not anymore 🙃. Having meal times at all has been an adjustment, but she learned over a few days.

No. I said they’re a convenient excuse. If they were to return then a new excuse would be found. The impetus for this campaign started as “self defense” in response to the Oct 7 attack. Then when that was no longer sufficient to justify things they moved onto the hostages as a bargaining chip.
Not really. Israel has a vested interest in continuing this land grab. The hostages are a convenient excuse, but separate from the inciting event. Furthermore it’s just as likely the hostages have been killed in israeli bombings.
Just count the dead, injured, displaced, starved, and dehydrated on either side. You’ll find pretty quickly the numbers are extremely disproportionate. If that’s [not] a baseline consideration for your judgment then you should think on that.

It can depend on the person so it’s a general concept. I think if someone is asking for a critique they would ask more directly. Culture also plays a big role. I’m speaking from a USA cultural viewpoint.
