i use obsidian notes and keep the files in a Dropbox folder that automatically syncs between my several devices. I use github pages to make it publicly visible. Since it’s on github, I’ve got all the benefits of version control and edit tracking. Also, other authors can use whatever markdown editor they want so long as they don’t break link formatting.

And those are getting added to my list, I’ll see if they hold up

I absolutely understand why people hate it. on lemmy, probably because of themes that could be interpreted as being anti communist. In the real world, because of how it mocks religion quite viciously, and promotes critical thinking.

Also multiple strong female characters who are well written, that really pisses people off.

Terry Goodkind wrote the Sword of Truth series beginning with The Wizard’s First rule in 1994, with 17 books in the main series and I believe still ongoing. Not much sex, but it has the brutality down, and is very well written.

While this won’t affect me as I don’t currently run nvidia hardware, I am excited to see what new and interesting ways they’ll make the software suck ass.

Alive and well in the indie scene. HoMM specifically has two spiritual successors I’m keeping an eye on in Hero’s Hour (fun and absurd, but doesn’t work on linux), and Songs of Conquest (haven’t played it yet, looks very promising).

I didn’t really understand what I just read, but it sounds like flatpack but different. I’m on mint, so I’m pretty sure it doesn’t affect me. The memes I’ve seen on the subject give me the impression that people don’t like it.

more competition in the space is always good, helps keep the devs of my preferred game from getting complacent.

I’m laughing though because I keep hearing about how bad a time helldivers players are having, despite the new content, like their devs/publisher keep learning the wrong lessons from the successes of other games.
