7·1 year agoYeah bro that’s totally what you meant which is why you didn’t express these reservations until now but did morally admonish anyone that celebrated and even threw in some veiled threats about being banned for inciting violence.

6·1 year agoAnd the usual normal reasonable line regarding violent rhetoric is plausible threats of violence. And hate speech is defined usually as hatred toward a marginalized group of a protected class. I.e. we know exactly what hate speech is, we don’t have broad definitions that you can apply surreptitiously after the fact to people like billionaire or police.

17·1 year agoHe’s the head of one of the largest healthcare providers in the country and the murder appears to be politically motivated. It absolutely is politics. It’s like thinking JKFs assassination wasn’t politics because it was a lone gunman.
And being happy he’s dead isn’t an attack on a person or an appeal to violence. You and the mods at news are just uncomfortable with confronting the resentment people have after being exploited and abused by people like him for years. It’s expressing emotions.
You want to pretend you have the moral high ground because you will only express civility. Sorry, but people do not have to be reverential to a man who kicked their teeth in everyday and is literally responsible for thousands of deaths. You’re simply trying to disrupt the camaraderie being built by people that might rise up against the people you bootlick.

131·1 year agoThere was another story about a wealthy CEO being gunned down in a posh area of New York City. Everyone said it was an example of street crime being out of control but it turned out to be one of his wealthy business partners. Could be the same case here.

17·1 year agoThis guy knew what he was doing. Probably didn’t carry a cell phone and I wouldn’t be surprised if the silencer turns out to be homemade. Reminds me of the movie “Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai”. Where the hitman did a bunch of practical things to keep from being traced.

55·1 year agoChappelle joked once that if black people want to see serious gun control in the US all they need to do is buy a gun themselves.
It’s not really a joke, the pro gun Black Panthers are why the Northeast and California have stricter gun laws.

2·1 year agoHi Philip Morris
Too late, I’m already out the door. You assume no one understands the nuances of hosting in a country without free speech laws as liberal as the US.
The truth is most people do. Your moderators’ histrionic response was so obviously from a place of emotion, and can recall numerous times your mods have allowed speech that was similar but didn’t act because they weren’t personally offended.
I think you fail to understand that your audience is international. That you let your moderators power trip not from an abundance of caution but because it’s more convenient for you.
