Pharmaceuticals are an important component of modern life. We really need them now more than ever. They are a good thing.

Their capitalist greed and the big money that runs them is also doing all it can to suck every last cent out of the public.

Unfortunately both things can be true.

I sit down on the toilet, open Lemmy, this is the first thing I see.

The whole point of this episode is to challenge the viewer to think about the arguments. That’s all. Is it stupid as far as realism? Yeah it kinda is. But is it a subject matter many of the viewers at the time of it airing were thinking about? No.

I imagine the idea the writer had was “let’s challenge what the viewer thinks and/or feels without them knowing”. There’s a lot of that in ST throughout the years and I, for one have always been here for it.

It’s not the best episode, but it’s certainly not the worst.

Isn’t that illegal? Claiming someone specifically endorsed you as a candidate?

I grew up on the water. Saw these stickers everywhere. Cool, we all go to the beach all the time, we live on an island.

Then 7 years ago I moved to central PA. I see one of these stickers on cars here all the time. I’ve been making fun of it for years. I think they don’t know the river here is fresh water.

I absolutely love this.

As a musician who has been following this closely for a while, it keeps getting worse and worse. Musicians of my status have less and less opportunities to make a living off of our art in a world that is becoming increasingly easier to produce and distribute in. I’ve done this a long time and have had moderate success in the past. It’s to the point now though that the ways I THOUGHT musicians made money was never available to me, and the way we DID make money when I started almost doesn’t exist anymore either.

Weirdly, I am days fresh from a vasectomy.
