Not like either side is helping us. Kamala, Democrats, and Joe biden ran the last 4 years quietly and campaigned on no change. They lost the election by not convincing 250k voters in 4 states to not vote for them.
Joe biden pardoning his son is his legacy. Joe said he would be a one term president then tried to run for a second term ruining a primary. Democrats chose Kamala harris and she accepted. This country was founded on old people letting go of power and stepping aside and down. If George Washington wanted to he could have been a king. The old dems are grasping at power and control rather than trusting a populist candidate.
Joe Biden could be abusing his power and fighting for change from the bully pulpit to affect Americans and make an outcry but instead went back in his word twice and pardoned his son abusing his power for selfish gain.
Kamala instead of campaigning to fight hatred and cause change went with joy and changing nothing . She even capituatated to right wing talking points moving Democrats to the right. Even though policy wise leftist policy is good and ppopular policy.
Lastly the democrats ran a Hilary Clinton style campaign being a nerd with stats and defended institutions. Obama won because change Biden won because change.
Most people don’t get streaming content because commercials most people got it because that is where they content is and you can choose. When you want it.
Streaming services didn’t make money when money was cheap to loan. Now money is expensive to get. Company needs to make profit rather than constantly taking in funding . Commercials make money. It kept tv and radio afloat. Streaming is still better than tv
I think it is becoming overwhelming clear news doesn’t care about lives unless it makes them money. They will never let a shutdown happen in the foreseeable future.
Issue is a 3 party system is only going to give us a far right wing party, a right wing party and a centrist party that has to vote for right wing party or the far right wing party will win. A 3rd party won’t help. Election reform has to happen first. The only thing we can hope for is a progressive movement inside the democratic party. That sweeps then getting election reform. Then we can get ranked choice or whatever system .
The problem as I see it and right now we need to wait for more information is they went to the right and thought they could pick up Republicans there is a report that says all the registered Republicans voted republican (don’t know accuracy) except 6% in 2020 and 5%2024. So they picked up no one when they should have went full leftists revolutionary change. They didn’t when despite having the most amount of money so they don’t even need to court the gazillionaires if they are just going to lose.

I imagine a lot of people were supporting people in power currently or thinking the people they were electing were more qualified and were trying. The democratic party with their move to the right shows they don’t. This inspires people to do it themselves. There is lots of self doubt and reflection in leftists lives. In every swing state except PA. There was record breaking ballots cast. In PA it was close to the record. She lost the election because bad policies not people not showing up. People changed their mind in the 6 swings states. Idk why or what for but this election wasn’t lost because of 10 million people not voting it was lost by my calculations 275,092 votes in 4 states.
I’ll wait until the count is over to check if she earned more votes in the 6 swing states than biden in 2020. But lots more votes to count again like 10 million yet to be counted almost all in states that are pretty much decided so they didn’t make a difference anyway
Men are getting some hate when every other group in the country gets more hate by the majority and then men lash out when they do the majority of the crimes. They have held all the power by majority for all of known history. So they lash out.

Latest relief under Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program brings total loan forgiveness approved by the Administration to over $175 billion for more than 4.8 million Americans. So he has done something. Idk if you expected a magic wand for everyone but something is better than nothing.
As for Israel we have a former president actively tanking any policy for a ceasefire. Who do you think if elected would be more likely to negotiate a ceasefire with Israel? Tbf America is a single policy for Israel in general that fact there is even a waver on the democrats side is amazing

How it will work is you are an early owner or investor and your hoard pile is over $100 million. Now when your hoard pile goes up 7% you have $107 million. We tax you on your wealth over $ 100 million. Let’s say 25% tax on that $7 million if you choose to hold onto it. Your wealth tax bill will be $1,750,000 that year (plus minus other factors). You can choose to sell your $7 million and it is currently taxed at 18% for realized tax gains if you held onto the stock for over a year or income % tax rate if short term trade.
What this does is increase the public ownership in companies as there is more stock for everyone and decreases the hoarding of companies by the wealthy. It also makes stock prices more honest so people don’t hoard the stock count to inflate prices.
Let’s say you own other assets. A house. It is just like property tax if you can’t afford the tax bill you don’t own the house or…your house isn’t worth that much. If you have tons of homes you may have to sell it to the people rather than rent. And if your hoard of assets is in other random collectibles you pay the tax bill to maintain your collection or share the ownership with others.
As for private companies that will be an interesting thing. I would say when your company is worth $100 million you have to divest the ownership to others. But idk. Legalize will figure it out we can also have exceptions for things like house value or other random things
