Summary

Hispanic and LGBTQ communities have been targeted with disturbing anonymous text messages threatening deportation or “re-education camps,” escalating fear and uncertainty.

Latino students in Georgia received texts about deportation, while a lesbian entrepreneur in Nevada was told to report to a camp promoting conversion therapy.

Authorities, including ICE and the FBI, confirmed the messages are hoaxes, but fear of reporting persists among immigrant families.

These messages have instilled fear and uncertainty, especially among immigrant families, but advocates are urging victims to report incidents to trusted officials or community leaders to combat the harassment.

    They’re jokes until they aren’t.

Those who wish to bring slavery back are welcome to live as slaves. Those who wish fo mass deportation are welcome to get the fuck out. Those who wish for reeducation camps to attempt to change people’s orientation are welcome to be subjected to it.

Between this and the plantation texts how the fuck is the FBI not giving any external communication about investigations. Do they really have absolutely nothing to show?

These texts are domestic terrorism. They’re non-violent but they absolutely fit the bill for terrorism.

They don’t want to find out. The backers are coming into office in two months’ time.

I’m honestly kinda suspecting this is more likely someone that’s upset about the election and fear mongering than it is someone who genuinely supports these positions.

This just feels like someone trying to make a point by trying to make the worst version of their enemies feel more real.
