I’m a picky slut and only have had seven sexual partners. One of them had over 50, though.

So there’s at least 55 people with no partners we’re making up for

I had 30 that I can actually remember when I count them out. And can only remember the names of 15 of them. So am I down right slut or is this not correct. Maybe it counting woman. Most women I met or been with numbers was in the low tens or single digit numbers. It’s always men who I heard have huge numbers.

Then again some may lie. Once met a 22 year old who claimed he slept with 300 women. I didn’t by that shit at all. At 22 I been with only 4. I didn’t really start getting laid a lot until I discovered online dating. The amount of hookups through that app is off the charts.

Men and women have hooked up with the same number of men and women. Just how the math works out. 1 dude sleeps with 5 different women, means 5 women all added 1 to their number.

Ok but choosing not to mention that doesn’t mean that you don’t have to account for it. It just means you’re being wrong on purpose

It’s over complicating my point when it isn’t necessary at the time. I don’t know the numbers, but most people aren’t having sex with both genders. So yes, there will be variance, but on the whole the numbers will be equal.

Guess I’m a whore too, if that is true. I in the mid tens with sex partners. I thought I was on the low end. Is this a legit statistic?

I wonder if that statistic is still true since the proliferation of “dating” apps. You used to have to put in a considerable amount of effort for a one-night-stand. I was already married before dating apps hit the scene, but my understanding is there are millions of people out there just messaging “wanna fuck?” to each other and then hooking up for the night. Society’s attitude towards being a ho casual sex is quite different now too. So, I question the accuracy of their average statistic in modern times.

I’d say it also has to do with the abysmally low level of sex education. The ignorant are less wary about the dangers of STDs and more adventurous regarding their choice of partners.

Average seems like a weird statistic to use here. I’d want to at least also know the median.

One of the things I learned from “How to Lie with Statistics,” is when an article or ad says “average” thet could mean the mean, median, or mode depending on which fits the desired narrative best. The reader usually assumes the writer is referring to the mean which helps in establishing these misleading narratives.

I feel like there’s some statistical fuckery going on here. I feel like in a lot of super religious communities 2 is a lot, maybe 3 depending on how many youth pastors talked you into a blowie when you were 14. Versus in a lot of more liberal communities premarital sex and divorces are a lot more common. And those communities reproduce like fucking rabbits vs other communities are out here fucking a lot but only reproducing responsibly.

I’ve also wondered if a lot of the highly religious women I grew up with finding sex unpleasant or a chore is mostly just due to the sex being bad. If they won’t even tell you what a clitoris is, the men are literally taught that they’re owed it and they don’t need to bother making it pleasant, and then add in that (EDIT: LATE) masturbation in women is associated with inability to orgasm as an adult… best case scenario most of the experience is just one long chafing sensation. No wonder all the women I grew up with mostly just found the whole thing gross!

edit: lol my phone cut out the word late before masturbation and that completely changes the meaning of that sentence. What I meant to say is that studies show that if women don’t masturbate when they’re young they’re at much higher risk for anorgasmia later in life.

It has a lot to do with the guilt associated with premarital sex. I know a fundamentalist Christian woman who would get physically ill after going too far with her boyfriend, even though they still stopped before actual sex. Once she got married that went away.

A friend confided that, no matter how much he tried to not masturbate, he would always end up doing it and the guilt was fucking with him. I told him I masturbated at least once a day, averaged twice, sometimes up to 5 on the weekends and watched any type of porn I could get my hands on.

This surprised him as I was a good upstanding person and an altar boy. I asked him if he was trying to fuck any girl that would give him the time of day. I confessed that I fell in love with girls just because they smelled good when they passed by and would get hard by a smile, a friend touching my arm, a small look at cleavage, a tight shirt across big tits, peaking underwear on their lower back, etc.

Why would god give you raging hormones if not to find someone and want to fuck? Your body, that god made, is giving you these urges and then he gets pissed off when you give into them? Just masturbate and go to confession about every 3 months.

Fuck. Remembering, as I typed this, of his visible relief and how much his demeanor changed for the better after our talk got me upset. Fuck religious bullshit. To top it off, when I got married by the church, we had to do a couples seminar to go over specifics of marriage, talking things out, help the church can give and expectations, etc. It ended with a confessional, not as a couple it’s always alone, and I confessed we’ve had premarital sex. The priest just went, of course! It’s only natural.

Then why all the guilt tripping and mental anguish when we are teens!
