Comparing f-35s to su-57s isn’t quite right. The 57 was developed as a response to the f-22. And they managed to get it flying only 14 years after the f-22 entered service. But by that point the MIC got bored and dropped all pretense of an air gap and just shoveled money into the f-35 to make that plane the most ridiculous thing in the sky.
To Russia’s credit, it is actually impossible for a squadron of f-22s to defeat a squadron of su-57s.
They’d have to actually build enough for a squadron first
