2010’s conservative: “Climate change is real, but it’s not caused by human activity”.
2020’s conservative: “Climate change is caused by human activity, and IT’S THE LIBERALS AND THEIR HURRICANE MAKING SPACE LASERS”.

Obviously I’d prefer us to have a better voting system, but that’s unfortunately not on the table. Right now, there’s a candidate who advocates dismantling our democracy all together and has tried to overturn the results of the last election. Never had someone point a gun at me like that, but I dated a girl in college that had a dickhead 2nd amendment gun nut dad who never missed an opportunity to mention he had guns and wasn’t afraid to use them if I “didn’t take good care of his daughter.” It didn’t intimidate me in the slightest though, and just let me know he was a scared, insecure loser.
If you’re marketing only to people with critical thinking skills you’ll miss most of the voting population, but you do you.
