Recycling is only a scam for plastic. Paper and glass are fully recyclable but are energy intensive.
Aluminum and most metals are cheaper and less energy intensive to recycle than to mine and refine from scratch.

All of Islams problems can be explained entirely by demographics, modern history, and wealth distribution — which directly impacts quality of education.
Iran was a relatively liberal democracy before western plutocracies chose to arm radicals and overthrow the government.
Afghanistan was relatively stable until the soviets invaded and overthrew the government, and the west taught them how to do terrorism/insurgency.
But sure, let’s just ignore history and act like Christianity wasn’t a radical terrorist org prior to science and universal education.
You’d think they’d get the memo after several decades of “corporations get most of what they want, without objection” while “the people can’t even get basic healthcare or a minimum wage comparable to poorer countries”, yet here we are… Fascism is knocking down the door, financed by the wealthiest capitalism can muster, and they still have their heads firmly planted in the dirt, blaming the left for not voting, without evidence … when the millions of people who didn’t vote may very well be just as oblivious as Trump voters, don’t know how the government works, don’t know the danger they’re in, and don’t pay enough attention to care 99% of the time.
Mental illness is the problem, of which all religions are at the top of the list.
This unprecedented relationship between the world’s richest man and the leader of the free world raises concerns about the influence of wealth on government.
The only change is that Liberals are apparently becoming aware of the power dynamic that has always existed — that democracy cannot exist with massive wealthy inequality and money equal to speech. I’m also positive that if Trump/MAGA fails to implement fascism (this time around), Liberals will believe the current system works, and completely ignore the reality that their system was almost destroyed by a small number of wealthy sociopaths.
Nobody:
Capitalism: “tune into the only freedom fighters on Earth standing up to the corporate elites — mr fascist billionaire and mr fascist meathead millionaire — only via your EvilCorp ShillBox subscription”
They never were. Letting the fox run the hen house will always fail. Once you realize all of the UN and analogous environmental orgs/events (IPCC, COP, etc) are politically/corporate managed, and do not align with the scientific consensus, you realize they only exist to greenwash and legitimize for-profit interests, and inaction.
I was gonna say this Bosnian war film I caught on the public broadcaster 2 decades ago, but it apparently won a fuckin oscar, so I now recommend you watch Birdemic instead.
Man. Screamers was a regular on 10 VHS for $10 holidays. Must’ve watched Soldier 5 or 6 times on late 90’s cable. Watched it not long ago too. Still not great, but I still can’t look away.
This is false. Apple OS’s contain numerous blockers and friction points that not only stop users from storing much of their data in other clouds, but prevent competitors from being able to develop them at all. Apple does this via elevated privileges/processes and proprietary API’s available ONLY to Apple’s own local apps and cloud servers, for example:
- If you backup your photos to iCloud, everything happens in the background with elevated priviliges and “just works”.
- If you backup your photos to ANY other provider, they run in a separate sandboxed process which doesn’t “just work” because the OS can kill it at any time, meaning users often need to leave 3rd party apps open for their photos to sync at all.
This is the same for every 2nd/3rd party service in comparison to Apple/iCloud across Apple OS’s. Nobody can develop a true competitor for anyone who purchased Apple hardware as Apple has access to a range of processes, services, and API’s which are not available to external developers. You can’t boot up an iphone and set Backblaze B2 or Amazon S3 as your authoritative cloud data or backup provider. You must use iCloud, or you get an inferior experience – not because of any technical limitation, but specifically because Apple designed non-Apple integrations to be inferior.
Your biases, poor reasoning, &/or poor grammar are showing.
“Biggest bar” = “highest proportion of casualties are children” (e.g. the data be like it do); NOT “IDF is targeting children”.
Your false interpretation implies intent to target children specifically, but the correct interpretation ultimately implies indiscriminate murder, as any Palestinian civilians likelihood of being bombed by the IDF is almost the same as any “Hamas combatant” (e.g. genocide) — so much so that it just looks like their current population demographics.
Jokes on them. I haven’t answered an unknown number in years. Probably why I get so few scam calls.
Nobody implied they’re intentionally targeting children with their bombing.
They’re indiscriminately bombing all Palestinians. If they were targeting Hamas, and attempting to limit civilian casualties, you’d see a much higher proportion of adult males.
I’d say the only thing that’s different is the volume and blatantness of the corruption. Selling out the country for profit is always criminal, and it’s so bad they don’t even need to hide it anymore; decades of legalized corruption, putting corporations first, and zero consequences created the conditions for Trump to go mask off .
The irony is that corporate America and wealthy individuals have been doing this for several decades, and you’re acting like it just started! 50 years of neoliberalism created the conditions for fascism to succeed.
Voters have shifted right because they’re hurting, and the Dems promised 4 more years of the same. Trump promised to remove the elites and actively tear the country they created apart. That’s why they voted for him. The fact that’s it’s a lie and they’re stupid to believe it doesn’t matter. Telling people the economy is doing great while they are poorer than they were 4 years ago pushes them away.
Liberals lost ~15 million former voters and handed America to a fascist dictator, and all they’ve done is blame the left and stick their head in the sand, as though the population didn’t just vote to tear the status quo apart. They did the same thing in 2016. They won’t get another chance, and they still don’t understand that.
Yes, my comment was based on historical facts and indicators. It wasn’t a hypothetical.
This is perfect. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you are the perfect example of why America just voted for fascist dictatorship — you still believe MAGA’s are the problem, completely ignorant of the fact that you, your beliefs, and your support for money-is-speech corporate-owned politics places you in the upper percentiles of most-to-blame voters; the older and better educated you are, the more you are to blame. If you’ve voted R your whole life and are 50+, you’re like top 5-10% responsible.
Now you’ll consider yourself a Democrat, and support your conservative-indoctrinated idea of “moderate” politics, shifting the already center-right Democrats and Overton window even farther right, while supporting the fallacy that non-profit healthcare, education etc are “radical leftist” beliefs, instead of “what the rest of our allies have had for 50-100 years”… you’ll solidify the fascist dictatorship over the next 10-20 years, and you’ll do it all, while blaming “the left” — the very people who have been warning that “this would lead to fascism and extremism” for decades.
If I were born in America, I’d probably have ended up less educated and be some tankie communist or MAGA fascist myself because of fellow cotizens just like you. I’ve never felt better to be Australian, and born under the umbrella of a far more stable, compassionate, governance; despite conservatism/neoliberalisms best efforts to the contrary.
It sounds like you need to move on and forget the people who don’t care about you. Anyone that does care will maintain contact, and if that’s nobody then at least you get to start anew.
About 4 times in my life, I’ve made major changes and cut multiple people out of my life after deciding they were no longer good people &/or friends, and each aftermath was better than the years of trying to maintain “the good ol times”. One of those times left me completely alone… I mean literally zero friends for like a year. 5 years later I had a better group of friends than I’d ever had previously. That experience let me know I’d be fine on my own. I’m also fortunate to be an introvert and never really suffered depression or similar. The key to success is not dwelling on the loss and moving on with your life. YMMV.
Luckily I’ve never had to cut family off, but I’ve spent more time with the people I’ve cut off than a lot of family, so I wouldn’t think twice if I thought family were a negative influence in my life.
