get your password situation squared away! every time i spin something new up i am grateful to have a pw manager to keep it all unique and maximum character limit
don’t even have to memorize the user of a lot of em

raphson on codeberg

this is incredible! petty much exactly what i did for myself, minus the *arr part (yet)
also i am dabbling with tempo, and it’s been forked with active development!

i hate to sound like a shill for one thing but pangolin tunneled reverse proxy is pretty cool way to expose stuff

no sweat. i am on this very hunt myself and understand the apprehension about relying on stuff that is solely hosted on the hub. granted i am no expert, but it just seems to speak to my FOSS soul to try and stick with FOSS through the whole stack if possible.
in the meantime i am enjoying gonic as the server and mopidy with subidy as the player.
it’s not perfect yet but I’m very close.
still on the search though!

I have been on this search myself a few months now and JUST stumbled upon something that fits the bill.
Like, i literally just found it and haven’t played with it or investigated too much, but it fits your requirements.
raphson music server is hosted on codeberg now! they left github last year.
it has a great looking interface, integrates with HA, uses subsonic API.
I am greatly interested in learning more about this.!!

pangolin might be cool for this?

yooooo mopidy is an awesome server to feed MPD and you were correct about MPD being able to run on this device!

pangolin is really cool!

this is great! i was intrigued by nix and nixOS early into my linux venture and this has probably pushed me to start moving my stuff from Debian, though i am kinda addicted to proxmox.
but the way you’re doing truenas is how I’m running my stuff too. way more planning on your end really cleans it all up!

mpd has broke me a couple times lol

I’ve seen this a couple times but haven’t looked into it until now! do you play with this?

oh lawd i am glad to meet another out in the wild!
i was fortunate to start with residential alarm and A/V. due to a talent vacuum, leapfrogged to control system programmer/service, which allowed a few forks in the road (service manager, project manager and sales,) before bringing me back to my primary passion in this industry, AV programming and design.
but yeah I’ve installed my fair share of alarm panels, access control, thousands of camera systems.
but most of my shit has been fixing old rich people’s wifi and kids/grandkids AV

ooolala i didn’t think about a gauntlet to the death!

if you can, don’t be afraid to pull some wires! i come from a low-voltage background, and am getting ready to run some cabling for distributed audio.
found some old control4 gear that can be controlled directly from Home Assistant, no control4 processor required!

Howdy Fellow Emby user!
i did like using emby for music and podcasts, but i was always perturbed by having to dig through the emby app to get to music. i tried using a different profile for music only but then got annoyed at having to swap back and forth.
so at the crib, are you airplaying from your phone? what’s your audio pipeline look like?

pangolin?

Pangolin has been really cool for a few days!
jellyfin with kodi addon,
libreelec, logged into their jellyfin profile
can send announcements through kodi. control it with the Kore app or Yatse or home assistant.
flirc for a remote control?
