  • Let’s play a game! Which of these quotes are Trump’s, and which are Hitler’s?

    1. “Jews and migrants are poisoning Aryan blood,”

    2. “They’re poisoning the blood of our country. That’s what they’ve done,”

    3. “I will get rid of the communist vermin”

    4. “They’re coming into our country, from Africa, from Asia, over the world. They’re pouring into our country.”

    5. “I will take care of the enemy within”

    6. “We pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical-left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, that lie and steal and cheat on elections … The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave than the threat from within. Our threat is from within.”

    7. “One people, one realm, one leader.”

Here is the answer key: Every other one is a Hitler quote, starting with the first one. And yet, these quotes are in significant overlap. We shouldn’t have a president who is taking a page out of Hitler’s book.

  • Nobody will step up, because manufacturing electronics like this is incredibly expensive, and any new president in 2028 could instantly drop Trump’s dumb ass tariffs.

So you’d be going into an expensive, already risky business, with an even bigger risk that one day the competition suddenly drops their prices by ~40% due to a drop in tariffs. Nobody’s gonna take that risk.

And even if somebody successfully did take on that risk, they’d charge just under the price of the electronics that have the tariffs baked into the price, so congrats, no matter what we’d esentially be paying a ~40% markup on electronics, and that’s before accounting for all the businesses that raise prices even further than the tariffs to account for the drop in demand, and supply chain halt.

  • I don’t want them to code my information in a way that benefits their insurance system but isn’t accurate to my actual diagnosis.

My fiancee has been dealing with this for like 2 years. She got a relatively simple bloodwork panel done, and the NP who ordered it fucked up the code/paperwork for it by labeling it as something more expensive than it actually was, which resulted in the insurance not covering it, which resulted in a $1k bill for what should have been a $20 test.

The bill was sent to collections, and they were told that the bill was erroneous because the NP fucked up the paperwork. They’re still calling 2 years later. They don’t seem to get the hint that my fiancee is disabled, has no wages, and no way to pay it*, and therefore they ain’t getting shit.

    * Fortunately it is within my means to pay for it for her, but she has no wages for them to garnish, they can’t mess with her credit score over it, and so they have no pathway to do any harm for failure to pay. So fuck em.
