  • I’ve been a comedy fan my entire life, by and large nobody respected comedians outside of whether or not they make you laugh. I don’t understand how or know when the culture changed so much. These podcasters are comedians. Why is everyone comparing them to News broadcasting companies or any other industry that is supposed to have merit and accountability? At most/best, these podcasts are a long form version of Regis and Kelly or Ellen. You people taking these CLOWNS seriously, is the reason stupid kids and dumb men my age think they should be taken seriously. Joe Rogan is talked about on the news like he’s a fucking politician, why is anyone surprised his show effected politics after YEARS of the news talking about him and politics in the same breath?

  • You can look at it however you want, but if you aren’t tipping in the US, you are a MOOCH. It doesn’t matter if you disagree, that is the truth in the society you live in.

Should employers pay their employees more? Absolutely! But I don’t have control over that and you don’t either. What we do have control over, is how much we tip. If you want to change the society you live in; making waiters and waitresses go without, isn’t the way.

  • If they had to pay their staff more, prices would be higher. If prices are higher, not as many people can afford to go, resulting in prices going up even more. When waiters can rely on tips instead of just the hourly wage, they are given the chance of getting a really nice tip from someone who is generous, resulting in more money than without the tips. By not tipping, you are relying on the generosity of others to keep the workers you aren’t tipping above the line. If you think they don’t deserve to be tipped, don’t go there, otherwise you’re being a mooch in the society you live in, even if it’s in a minor way.

  • I use a Bluetooth headset and my Bluetooth earbuds, among other things I don’t use as often, on windows 11 and I’ve never had an issue with forgetting or disconnecting devices. I do have issues with my mic disconnecting sometimes, but that seems to be either a distance issue, my headset, or both. I’ve never seen an ad on my PC and I’m not sure what edge is. Everything else you said doesn’t apply to me in any way

  • If I didn’t have to wait for games I’m anticipating before release to work on Linux, I would have happily learned how to use Linux years ago. I pretty much only use my PC as an entertainment system; games, movies/tv, internet use. I like to mod my games and modding on Windows has become so easy that it’s actually feasible to help my PC inept friends get a working load order without committing a weekend. Unless the larger nexus modding community as a majority switch to Linux, I don’t see myself switching for a long time

  • Because that is what podcasts are, I already said that. That doesn’t mean their bad, again, nobody said that. It means they shouldn’t be taken seriously. Whether it’s Joe Rogan or any other comedian, they are shitting in their mics, that is the only thing every off the cuff and improvisational podcast has in common. The only thing special about Joe Rogans podcast is that a lot more people listen to it than other ones, it doesn’t mean he’s not shitting in the mic like EVERYONE else with a podcast. My point was: that meme could have any podcast in place of Joe Rogan and it would be just as accurate.

  • I like dynamic banter, Conan needs a friend, you made it weird, harmontown, the weekly planet, smartless, and occasionally listen to the podcast version of the daily show. Other than the daily show podcast which isn’t really a podcast, it’s just an audio version of a real show; some of them are more organized or have a more narrow goal, but everybody on all those podcasts would agree they’re just shitting in a mic. The one thing they all have in common is they are meant to be funny and as unfunny as he is, Joe Rogan is a comedian that shits in the mic like every other host of every other comedy podcast.
