A Turkish Airlines pilot died after collapsing mid-flight, forcing the Turkish national carrier to make an emergency landing in New York, the airline said Wednesday. The incident occurred after the plane took off from Seattle on Tuesday evening, airline spokesman Yahya Ustun wrote on social media.
Eric Adams must have wanted a domestic flight. Credit to the pilot, he was committed to making it work.
“I’m always scared of flying. And my friend says, ‘Don’t worry, you’re not going anywhere until it’s your time.’ And I say, ‘But what if it’s the pilot’s time?’”
That’s one reason to mandate 2 pilots.
This is the 3rd time in a few days I’m hearing about a pilot passing out/dieing in the middle of a flight. This just the law of averages or is something going on with pilots?
