He’s ok and annoying at the same time. Can only take very little of him.
He’s funny in small doses, but the traditionalist gatekeeping thing gets old.
From what I’ve seen he only gets up tight about food not being prepared traditionally. And like, I don’t care. As long as I like the taste, I don’t care whether or not it’s accurate.
Half my favorite foods are versions that would probably be considered war crimes in their country of origin - at least by snobs.
As half Asian, I think his accent is pretty over the top but I am at least glad to see a strong Asian identity, and to an extent embracing our stereotypes. I’m also glad others can enjoy this content, even though it isn’t the same without having experienced Asian parents.
