“Fine, if you’re not going to vote Biden, at least vote down ballot. Primaries and local offices are the next wave of politicians.”

[Funds into primaries to remove progressives from office, backs conservatives because of “electability”.]

“Oh uh, sorry. By the way this is you, the pleb’s fault, not the rich we gladly accept. Maybe next year we won’t pull the football out of the way when someone pays us to?”

Sorry, the rest of us need to stick our heads in the sand if Trump and Russia are not involved. You know how unions work… well I don’t, I’m from the US.

Which is why we have two right wing parties and no left wing parties left in the US. Moves like this are how we got stuck with Trump in 2016 and almost again in 2020 and now once again in 2024.

No party has held the white house with consecutive different nominees in a long time. Meaning to say even if Biden gets 8 years the Dems will likely lose the election after that to either Trump again or a smarter quieter fascist. Thats a trend that I dont think has been bucked since HW Bush came after Reagan. Last time we had two Dems back to back was JFK into Lyndon Johnson. It’s literally just a matter of time and how a small handful of swing states feel about current events before we’re stuck with one again.

A lobby heavily aligned with the interests of a foreign power being capable of dropping by and dumping tons of money in order to place politicians loyal to their agenda in positions of power is not a sign of a healthy democracy.

Remind me why it’s legal for a foreign government to fund election campaigns in the U.S. against it’s critics? When mbs ordered the killing of Jamaal Kashogi, and people were outraged, did we let him pay for the election campaign of his critics opponent? Who’s Saudi Arabia’s candidate in congress this year? how about China’s? Russia’s?

Remember when Bernie almost won and only took transparent, U.S. based small money donations? Remember what it was like to have a candidate that you actually trusted?
