Exactly this. I use Signal for people close to me and SMS or Email for those who don’t use signal, who I don’t have coversations with often anyways. Dispite it’s many, many flaws, I will use SMS before I use a Meta messenger.

As someone who uses Gnome familly applications daily, I have to disagree with the notion that bad UX is fundamental to FOSS software. The gnome apps and shell all follow the same set of UX guidelines and feel quite cohesive as a result. I can definetly see where you get the idea of bad UX in foss though (looking at you, GIMP and Libreoffice)
Pretty good, but you can already waste scammer’s time with Lenny.
Exactly. If they are just reheating frozen food, it’s easier and cheaper just to do it at home using a mircowave. Throw in some frozen veggies for added health.
Especially if you’re like me and want to be able to boot the SSD on any conputer in case of failure.
This is exactly what we need. I hope they can follow through. For it to be effective, it will need to connect to local transit in each city. Currently, the Via rail stations in Ottawa are not connected to the LRT.

Much of the security that comes with most linux distros is due to how software is installed. On windows, you typically install random .exe files online and have to put your trust in whoever provided you with the installer. On linux, it’s much more common to use a package manager to install packages, which means you are putting your trust in the package repositories instead, which can be policed by the maintainers who can decline to add suspicious packages.
Hell yeah, new Gnome version.
Ah yes, but have you tried brewing avocado coffee at home?
Touching grass really is the rizz.
I really hope AR does not catch on, especially if it’s from a company like Meta. This video perfectly shows what I could see Meta doing with their own AR platform if it goes mainstream, eeven if if the video itself is complete fiction.
Libredirect is awesome.
Isn’t FUTO an organization that named their keyboard application after themselves?
I think waiting on the phone for an hour just to argue with someone to cancel a subscription is reasonable, as long as the signup process also involved waiting on the phone for an hour before an agent tried to talk you out of buying the service.
But if I signed up on a website in 30 seconds, it should take tine or less to unsubscribe on the same website.
The big drawback I find with using virtual monitors is that the PPD is too low on most headsets to clearly render the monitor.
I had this one used by 2 different teachers for different grades.
This would be very useful for offline installation.
