Totally fair. Most of these people haven’t experienced combat in any way. I’m just saying the motivation is mostly fun instead of some demented desire to kill.
I don’t think this is an actual case of that. I have a few friends that get kitted out with plate carriers and night vision for the range and it’s just LARPing. No different than ren faire people showing up to the faire in steel plate when obviously there isn’t some sword fight that’s about to break out at the fairgrounds.
It’s dorky but generally not malicious.
I can’t fathom how people saw police beating protesters to death in 2020, are decrying the new Trump presidency as the rise of fascism in America, and still believe that the government should be the only ones with firepower in their hands.

Ironically, the chargers at my office ALSO charge a big markup.
Competition is good, but landlords at offices and apartment buildings have a somewhat captive customer base who will often pay exorbitant prices for convenience.
Unfortunately every apartment I have lived in with charging adds a massive markup to the electricity coming out of the chargers. At one place we were paying $150/month for a space with an EV charger and the electricity coming from the charger was still billed at around 10x the base rate. It was far cheaper to fill our plugin hybrid with gas than to use the charger in our parking space.
I’m sure the same will apply here. It doesn’t help anyone if the complex is allowed to gouge the tenants on the electricity usage.

If we are talking realistically, star trackers in space are just good for orientation data, not position. Modern ring-laser gyros have low very drift rates. ICBM flight times are short.
Assuming the military cares to retrofit a modern IMU, I doubt a star tracker is the least bit necessary for a good navigational fix.

Try being less angry my dude. The civic modding scene is kinda dead outside the type R, but they have always made great enthusiast’s cars with a little work. Great, high revving engines that make decent power, good chassis, excellent suspension.
Btw, the street racers around my neck of the woods are mostly driving cars with V6s or V8s. I can’t leave the house past 11 without someone in a Hellcat or Corvette trying to get me to do pulls on the freeway.
