One of the prime rules of storytelling is that the hero has to have a flaw.
Superman is super. He can’t lose. That’s why the writers introduced Kryptonite. Captain America is a super-soldier, but is still mortal. Thor is a god, but can lose his hammer and his powers.
The problem with Superhero movies is that they all got so much power they became invincible, and boring.
Good, classic storytelling beats VFX 10/10.

It’s a tough call. Last bit of independence for someone feeling their world getting smaller. Anecdotally, both my father and father-in-law damaged their cars (one hit the highway median after dozing off) and their wives told them they couldn’t afford to replace the cars. Fortunately, nobody got hurt but it could have been a lot worse.
Management would fold in 24 hours if they threatened to withhold Wordle.

Ask about ‘Independent Study’ from your faculty adviser. If you don’t have one, go to your Department head. If you don’t have that, ask the Registrar.
Independent Study means you get to propose your own coursework and, if approved, get to do it and get credit for it. You still have to deal with faculty supervision but the subject is specific to you. Think about what you would love to learn and propose a way to get there.
If only there was an example of an official who tried this.

Reading that was a rollercoaster of horror and confusion, ending in relief.
This is pretty sad.
I have a number of elderly relatives. The one thing I keep telling them is if they ever get approached, to contact their kids, or check with another family member before responding. So far, there haven’t been any problems.
But I heard an in-law’s parents in a different state lost a big chunk of money to one of these scams and may now lose their home.

Builders care about the nuts and bolts of a building. Most people just care about whether they can get a decent hot shower, how cold it gets inside at night, or whether the smoke alarm goes off every time they fry onions.
The killer feature of decentralization, I suspect, does not lie in a singular interaction with a user, but (as Mike notes) in harnessing the power of the distributed group to do something amazing.
Had stinky tofu with curdled pig’s blood in Taipei a while back. The people I was visiting had me try it at a night market. The smell was much worse than the texture or flavor. I could totally see someone who had grown up with it considering it comfort food.
Helped that we had all had a fair bit to drink already.
