I didn’t know latine had its roots in the language. As an Asian American, cultural appropriation bothers me and I want to be respectful to the language/culture/people. Thanks for the explanation, I’m a bit smarter today thanks to you.

Color me old and decrepit but why use 2 new terms when the language already has 2 terms that seem fine, Latina and Latino? Is this something akin to negro -> African American -> Black? I can kind of get Americans feeling that Latinx is more gender neutral, but Latine seems very redundant.
Power is more useful than morals for getting what you want.
It would probably need a lot of internal cooperation, and he just doesn’t go into that. But the excessive bullet ballots only being in swing states is pretty weird, honestly. I wonder how hard it would be to recount/reverify in maybe 2 states as a pilot.
I’m totally for this and I bet it would work, too. We’ve seen the level of ignorance that went into how people chose to vote. If OnionWars puts up those kinds of stories, along with the occasional article declaring Jones actually still owns InfoWarts and any news stating otherwise is fake, they could ease these nutjobs back to sanity.
But is pronounced to rhyme with rubber.

Fuentes, Gaetz, MTG, Miller, Boebert, Lake – none of these people are boomers. GenX at most and a lot of millennials. A quick glance through the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Leaders of the Radical Right show a lot in their 30s and 40s. Boomers vote and spend money, but they’re largely too old to be activists in the traditional sense.
I swear for every positive story about something Biden did, there were 3 or 4 about Trump just being Trump: saying some outrageous lie, gaffes, and of course all the crimes. He’s sucked all the air out of the room for 10 years and now we’re going to have another 4. All news, positive or negative, is publicity.
Here’s a comic that covers the worst parts. 21 pages iirc
He’s lost it. First getting ripped up by demons, now he says abortions cause hurricanes? It seems like his brain has turned into a Swanson frozen dinner.
I can hear this photo
Trump’s got so much projection he oughta open a movie theater chain
He’s already been judged a rapist, if they supported him after E Jean Carroll this new allegation isn’t going to change their minds
Safe? Clearly no. Trigger lock? Cable lock? If one were there, there should be a mention of picking it or cutting it. Unloaded? Also clearly no.
There are so many ways, any of which take a whole 20 seconds, the parents could have used to prevent this from happening.
I’ll bet a good chunk of donations is going straight into the Trump family coffers (thanks Lara!) leaving little for the actual Republican candidates and incumbents.
I took a Waymo robotaxi in San Francisco a couple weeks ago. It was easy to use and I felt very safe; generally they drive like your granny. My second ride we ended up briefly stopped behind someone trying to do a left turn in an unexpected spot, and the car wavered left and right for a moment as it tried to decide what to do, not unlike human drivers. Given Tesla’s not so great record on full self driving, I think given the choice I would probably stick with Waymo.
Well wouldn’t that be a shame Edit: I don’t mean to imply I’d be happy about people being harmed. But maybe they should not elect a person who plays politics at their constituents’ expense.
Why not make that money available only to the districts whose representatives voted in favor of it. If the representative voted against it, that means their district must not want it, right?
It’s people who vote based on vibes rather than facts and consequences. They saw both of them as “outsiders” who “tell it like it is” and want change.
