You’re not wrong but it’s not like it’s unprecedented. North Korea already does this with Red Star OS. It’s just Linux with a bunch of spyware and government tracking/surveillance on top (edit: it’s also definitely not open source)
It won’t be open source. Who’s gonna sue Russia for license violation?
Aaand thats enough internet for the month
Fair enough, I also looked through the code though and it looks like everything is done locally
It also isn’t actually in the code? That url isn’t the actual name of the app (parallax vs pallax) and from what I can tell looking through the code, that line doesn’t actually exist anywhere in it.
Edit: also the URL doesn’t exist anywhere in the code
I think the answer is that it’s not actually there. The typo in the app name is another giveaway (parallax vs the app name, pallax)
Edit: also,
I assumed this is a Pizza Hut based on the roof but they still exist so I’m not sure it fits?
I like the version of this meme that’s a picture of a building with an outline of a former Sears logo on the front
Tbf this title is incredibly clickbaited. In the actual article they say they bought Tango and Hi-Fi rush because they thought the art was worth keeping alive, not because it would make money.
I love falling asleep 1-2 hours after getting in bed and then waking up an hour before my alarm 🙃. I can’t help much I can relate!
Fun fact: chromium has about 1.5 million more lines of code than the Linux kernel (about 32mil vs about 30.5mil), not including whitespace/docs/etc.
To be fair learning lua isn’t exactly a hard process, there’s a reason it’s embedded into so many other tools. If you’re familiar with python you’re like 85% of the way to writing something basic anyway.
Github contribution graphs (basically how much code you committed over time)
*Unfortunately this graph is from Google images, not my account :(
Edit: maybe I should have included a screenshot of light mode because it looks closer to the shower panels, oh well
It’s not even that though. The developers could have been amazing for all we know but great devs doesn’t help a paid game in a genre that already has too many games in it, most of which are free. This is especially so when the publisher does absolutely zero advertising for it past the initial announcement trailer.
