  • I mean, to take an extreme example: the Holocaust. Yes it eventually ended, but the damage was massive. The people who were in concentration camps didn’t have the luxury of just riding it out and knowing things will get better.

I understand that people can come together, but there are also people with more negative views and intentions coming together as well. There may come a time when you need to fight for what you believe in or even flee for safety. Unrealistic optimism can lead people into a very false sense of security by building a bubble that’s is oblivious to an impending event that could impact them.

The storm may pass, but people may die. Telling those people now that everything will eventually be ok is doing them a disservice.

  • So this is where we are now? All men wanted this? All men voted for this?

What next level bs is that. I did not vote for this. And if this is the blanket us vs. them that women are espousing then sexism is only going to get much worse. I did not vote for this, but people like you are starting a gender war for no reason. You are breeding sexism.

I need a reality check? The irony. You need to understand that a majority of women voted for this and not all men did. Women like you seem so ready to hate these days. If women keep attacking anyone and everyone because of what a small section of that group did they’ll have no allies very soon.

But sure, encourage all women to not be in a relationship. Encourage another form of isolation for women who may find great happiness in having a partner.

So much resentment and vile in your response. You’re so ready to have a war to fight, you don’t much care who it’s against. How much your approach to problems lines up with MAGA is uncanny.

The trolly problem only works because it’s headed towards a large group and you have a choice to make of allowing a thing to happen that you had no part causing in the first place. That is not the case in this situation.

Also never called you an American or said anything about you voting. I was talking about the opinion of Trump. So don’t know where that came from, seems a bit defensive.

  • That establishment Democrat on the right looks surprisingly happy

That’s saying the right path was chosen by the dems, where the other would be the republicans. You may have meant to send a different message about aligning with the right, but that’s not how it comes across. For what it’s worth, I very much agree with you on that point.

  • So if I don’t do every single thing there’s no point at all? If I order meal prep, I’m not making my meals so might as well not go for a jog?

With that mindset I hope you never do a single unhealthy thing because if so, it makes me wonder why you’re even taking the time to make your meals. I hope your doing cardio every day, if not, why even bother with meal prep if your heart is shit. I hope your monitoring your micros and macros, if not, you’re just wasting time making meals… This all or nothing mindset that you’re pushing is why people don’t even bother. You just told me, if I’m not making meals then why even go to the gym. You’re telling people there’s no point in working out unless they do all this extra stuff that people don’t have time for. Why? Why discourage healthy behavior?

Also, this just sounds privileged as fuck. I’m glad you have a life where you don’t have to work that much or have that many responsibilities outside work, but all of us aren’t lucky enough to have the time to make every meal from scratch. Sometimes I don’t have a free moment to myself all day. And other days I don’t have the time to do it. And plenty of people don’t have the money to buy all fresh ingredients that spoil quickly if not used. Jesus dude, out of touch much.
