8·1 year agoI’m happy my greedy company closed our office a year ago to save money on the lease. I don’t respect the people in charge but full time WFH is an excellent perk.
20·1 year agoI feel like smartphones have just made people “internet lazy” - myself included. The masses just want to get an app and let it accomplish whatever you need, without worrying about any kind of enshitification as long as it’s free.

2·1 year agoI don’t have wide feet but I love the brand Camper. A lot of their shoes have a wide style toe - I’ve been told they can look like clown shoes but I don’t care. It’s a good brand with quality shoes that make unique styles IMO

I always kinda wanted to play D&D but never did. Are LLMs advanced enough to be dungeon masters yet? Or is that a dumb question lol
The advice that I live by is that we can only be so lucky as to outlive our pets. It’s part of the burden of pet ownership. Besides, if we pass before they do, who would take care of them as good as we had?!
The above is easier said than done I’m sure. I’m saying this as someone with 2 seniors dogs. One is scheduled for surgery next Tuesday to remove a mast cell tumor. Trying to reconcile in my head how hard it will be to lose him…

Agreed. Although I struggle with vaping nicotine WAY too much and I feel like it has caused me some issues.
Still, way better than real cigs as far as my lungs are concerned - but the ease of being able to vape and constantly get a nicotine fix has been the real issue for me. Currently reading Alan Carr’s the Easy Way to get this monkey off my back once and for all.
