Refugee from another, less-friendly instance. Please forgive the youth of my account— I’ve actually been around here for a while. Still, glad to be here!

I can’t believe it got a second season
I happen to know a lot about schlock. I really don’t think this sounds at all like it.
I would encourage you, instead, to check it out for yourself.
the Scrooge McDuck-style vault full of red flags

Nice 🏳️🌈
Yes, capitalism is horrible bullshit that we all must suffer through (for now). No argument there.
I mentioned this elsewhere, but I believe that within the next decade, car companies are just going to have to deal with the fact that a lot of very intelligent (and independent) software developers are able to work around their proprietary crap. Currently, they’re fighting it rather a lot, but that fight can only be sustained for so long before it becomes unprofitable for the corporations.
Although skeptical, and especially disliking Elon musk, this is merely speculative. It could take five years, or it could take 25 years. We just don’t know yet. However, unlike fusion, we’ve never achieved FSD yet. But, like fusion, I’m sure we will.
Just not yet, and, I hope, not a product of an Elon Musk company.
I give it another 10 years before car makers just fucking give up on fighting this kind of thing.
It’s gonna be a rough 10 years though
We are witnessing, in real time, an expression of how much of humanity is willing to, nay, demands to be enslaved by ideologies.
This is the result of Republicans chipping away at public education for decades. It has resulted in a nation full of idiots.
This is why Trump wants to dismantle the department of education. This is why he loves the uneducated. They don’t know any better.
When I think of Roger Stone, I think of the ignominiousness of Roy Cohn, and the especially ironic (and very horrible) way he died.
Sadly, as much as I hate Roger Stone, I cannot wish that upon him. However, I do hope he does meet at least an equal amount of irony in his demise.
Edit: for the curious, check out Angels in America. Be prepared to cry.
This sounds fucking amazing. Literally.
If Germany is now pioneering the medium of operatic fetish porn, I’m totally here for it.
Oh my God, I totally wanna see this.
And of course it’s German.
Here’s the thing: vitiligo simply depletes melatonin from the skin. The skin is otherwise the same in texture, and just looks very light spots.
A scar, however, is damaged skin, regrown. It has a very different texture than normal skin, and will also look different— and, even if it has triggered vitiligo in the affected areas will still be (mostly) the texture of scar tissue. It would look/feel different than a site affected only by vitiligo.
This effect can be achieved by using skin glues or latex paint on the skin. I’m sure you could find even better methods for re-creating scar tissue on the skin on YouTube. From there, you can color the makeup lighter in order to simulate vitiligo.
Hey, at least we have actually accomplished (edit: net-positive) fusion. 10-20 years before the first commercial plant comes online, but fusion is a technology which now exists. This is extremely awesome. Honestly, I never thought I’d see it. But, it’s here, it exists, and now the distance between today and when the first power plant comes online is just a matter of scaling the tech upwards.
Full, autonomous self-driving cabs - especially from Tesla - on a massive scale… not so much.

— another famous rich person, shortly before she got what she deserved.
I wouldn’t. What I would do instead is make convincing-looking burn scars.
We do. It’s called the Constitution of the United States of America.
Clearly, Republicans don’t care for it much.
The turd doesn’t fall far from the asshole
