Yeah it is. But I feel for the guy. Half through the season it was said that Red Bull finally understood what he meant by the issues the car had once Max started having them.

I kinda hope they’re gonna give it to Yuki because of Liam gets these issues in his first season the only thing he can really do is her the car across the line in one piece every race. If Red Bull do manage to fix their car and it suits Liam then he’s gonna be up there. But Max likes an oversteery car whereas Lawson is more like Perez in that aspect.

I can’t feel sorry for him. I’ve never hear him admit a fault in a single interview. It’s always we, the team, etc. He said that he is disappointed that the team didn’t fight more for the constructors championship. Bro I think the team fought pretty hard

It’s been pretty much the car for a while now in F1. Perez was excellent in the Racing Point for a while. Cars changed. Lewis was excellent in the Mercedes, then the cars changed. Now George has the edge over him pretty much every race. Stroll is pretty much equal to Alonso. Colapinto is miles ahead of what Sargeant did. Bottas was a pretty good team mate to Lewis but last season he was nowhere because of the Sauber.

The driver car connection is important and Red Bull have been developing away from Perez for quite some time to cater to Max. Now that they’re also developing away from Max it suddenly shows that Perez cannot just drive anything. This will also happen to McLaren in the near future, or to Ferrari (again).

It’s not the car. Last year’s car was so insanely dominant Max could have won constructors on his own. Perez was struggling to get that car into Q3

To be fair, that was probably a veiled statement to Red Bull that he wasn’t going to let them off the hook by retiring quietly and they would have to pay him out.
