When I hike: whistle emergency beacon road flare fire starter pistol, sometimes an extra mag spare cold-weather clothes first aid kit walkie talkie food compass space blanket and regular blanket plastic poncho On the water is a little different, but you get the idea. And yes, loaded with beer it’s a 19lb. bag. Good exercise though and it fits and rides like a dream. I’m not really aware it’s on.
