I’m a big fan of their Frontier. Sad to see them in bad shape.
If they started shipping a small truck, I bet it would sell. And sell an updated version of the leaf with temperature regulated batteries, fast charging, and a modern charging connector instead of Chademo. A decent delivery van would also add to their bottom line.
Hopefully they survive but this seems to be a self inflicted wound. They destroyed their reputation with the unreliable CVTs and now they are left competing with Stellantis in the subprime market, where deep discounts and risky lending is the only way to move inventory.
Well yeah, they make crap cars
Mazda has been eating their lunch, their 2018+ models are much better cars than anything Nissan puts out.
