    Health care workers in California were supposed to get a raise on July 1, part of a plan to gradually increase their pay to $25 per hour over the next decade. Now, if approved by the state Legislature next week, they could get that raise on Oct. 15 — but only if California’s revenues between July and September are at least 3% higher than what state officials have estimated.

    If that doesn’t happen, the raise won’t start until Jan. 1 at the latest.

      So a six month delay?

      That’s shitty for the people that were counting on it, but assuming they don’t extend it again, that isn’t horrible

        They fought hard to get it and then they just snatch it away. These workers are some of the most overworked workers out there. You’re going to have disgruntled workers now. Telling them a week before they were supposed to get the raise? I hope a lot of them walk away. Good luck if you end up in the hospital until then.
