    If your freshly born newborn doesn’t poop because she’s constipated, well they work surprisingly like toothpaste tubes if you hold their knees to their chest.

    I’m sorry for the image. I’ve earned my “grit your teeth and do what you gotta” merit badge at just a week and a half postpartum, so I’m… happy?

        I didn’t leave the original comment, but I would say it certainly makes some parts of parenting easier. We just adopted a dog, and it has helped in strange ways. Expected ways such as my kid is much better about picking up his toys, putting away his laundry, and not leaving his shoes random places, but also it gives him something else to interact with that isn’t a glowing rectangle, or asking me a million questions.

    I ask my four year old if anger is at the control panel when she is starting to have a tantrum and it has actually been working to defuse the tantrums before they really get going.
