Was going pretty well for about a decade to decade and a half, until the first high wind storm came through. Wasn’t even a full blown tornado. He lost about 40 acres of adolescent redwoods because they don’t grow deep roots, they grow wide. That’s basically why you don’t see them except in a tiny area of Northern California.
