Buddhism is also much younger than 8500 years, and its arrival in Japan much more recent again.
The Jōmon period lasted longer than stated here. According to Wikipedia, it lasted from 14000 BCE (so 16000 years ago) to around 300 BCE (i.e. ~2300 years ago).
I’m not going to pretend Harris is not the only sane yet realistic option atm, but those “policies”, at least what’s shown in that screenshot here…
Those aren’t policies, those are empty feel-good slogans. They are ambitions at best, and extremely vague ones at that. You could come up with just about any actual policy from just about any political camp and make a passable argument for how it fits in there.
The only label on the map that’s both on Latin and in old German.
Imagine the following:
You actually can stop the time by snapping you fingers, but it stops time for the entire universe, including yourself, with the exception of one single observer on some unimportant planet in the Andromeda galaxy. After 100 years from the POV of that observer, time resumes again.

Does that thing have a big turntable under there somewhere? Because from the photo, it looks like it can shoot in exactly or almost exactly the direction the rails happen to be pointing, and if you need to shoot somewhere more than two or three degrees to either side, you’re SOL…
You don’t need “AI” for that. All you would need is some standardized APIs for the various shops, and you could easily solve this with computer technology from 20 years ago.
I’m sorry, is there actually anyone out there who takes the idea of tipping one’s landlord seriously? I always thought this was just an absurdist running gag…
Also, almost all of that is written in C, which is a successor to B, which is a simplified version of the Basic Combined Programming Language. There was never an A.
Uh, what’s happening here? The post shows no content for me, and clicking on the title only redirects me back to the post itself. Yet other people in the comment section are talking as if there was some specific content here, other than just the title “ravages of socialism”.
Am I missing something here? Is there a malfunction, or did OP edit their post after the fact so that the actual content is just gone?
The American Civil War was arguably not actually a civil war, but a war of secession.
