I’m pretty stupid though. That’s why I’m not a scientist. I understand that all of the seemingly magical things I’ve interacted with all of my life aren’t actually magical, but can be understood and recreated by people with the intellect to do it. Take my love of the first 3 Mortal Kombat games (technically 4 counting ultimate) for example. I couldn’t make them. If I traveled back to the 1800s to show them off I’d be accused of witchcraft.

They work though. Someone smarter than me made it happen. Multiple intelligent people worked together to make all of this magic happen.

My ignorant ass needs to trust the experts in their area of expertise. So do the other ignorant assholes.

I don’t understand how all of these morons are out here using tech that they couldn’t come close to understanding, but they’re so confident they are smart enough to understand climate science.

In the early 90s I got stuck at my grandparents’ house for weeks. The snow was so deep that my dad was able to throw us off of a 15ft porch into the snow.

We dug tunnels all around the yard and built igloos.

Every year as a child I made snowmen. Every. Single. Year.

The snowman was standing from December to February.

My wife made a snowman with the kids, it was melted by the next afternoon.

He admitted he didn’t understand the science.

Neither do I. You know what we should do when we don’t understand the science?

I would like to honestly, but I really do know my doctor cares.

About three years ago I lost my insurance and he continued to see me for free until I got it straightened out. He also filled out my paperwork with everything necessary to get my medication funded by the state for free until I got it worked out.

It would be really difficult for me to go against him. He’s 84 years old though, and if he goes before me I’ll get a second opinion then.

My doctor won’t give it to me because of history of addiction. I told him I’d been thinking of finding another doctor and he said, “should be easy to find someone who doesn’t give a damn about the rest of your health so he can pocket your money. No matter what you say though, my answer is no because I care what happens to you.”

That makes it difficult to even think about it because the man really does care about me and it’s obvious. I wonder if we just have a different view about things, but he’s the professional.

Maybe he’s right though. I’ve been on suboxone for over a decade.

I just wish I could use my brain.

He agrees that I have adhd, but he is afraid I’ll abuse the medication.

I wish I hadn’t put myself in this position, but adhd might have helped me get here in the first place.

I’m good though. I really am. I just wish I could be better.

My god I dread that day.

I think mine was around 300 and is 47”. I don’t watch a lot of tv, it’s mostly there for the kids. The 4k picture looks amazing when I do use it. I do most of my gaming on my Steam Deck and I dock that to a 720p Samsung I’ve had for 18 years now (Was very high end when I got it). It is good enough for me.

I’m about to inherit my daughter’s gaming laptop and I’ll plug that in the bedroom and be happy with it too.

I always give to Wikipedia. I’m poor as shit, but anytime I see that banner they gonna get some money.

NOTHING has been as useful for me in the last 20 years. I have learned so much I’ve forgotten over half of it.

I’m a hillbilly who has no education past around the 5th grade. It has been invaluable to me. I wouldn’t be who I am without it. Honestly without the internet as a whole, but especially Wikipedia.

I can’t smell it either at this point. I don’t smoke inside though.

I’ll never forget this one.

My ex and I were both chain smokers. I didn’t want to smoke inside but she was convinced a fan in the window was enough. I never smelled it before, but her mom bitched every time she came over.

When we split, I went back trying to work it out multiple times and I couldn’t stand the smell of her clean clothes even. It was awful. Even as a smoker I couldn’t stand the smell of that place. I remember falling asleep with her on the couch and just gagging.

I would NEVER smoke inside after smelling that. I also keep a cat litter container outside for butts and a Gatorade bottle with a little water in my car.

I threw cigarette butts everywhere when I was younger, then one day I seen a program about the butts ending up in waterways and I haven’t tossed one since.
