When I die I hope it’s doing 2 of my favourite activities- sitting and doing nothing.

This is something I’ve discovered about myself lately and I’m now trying to tackle, and hopefully start to dismantle.
I did a fuck up the other day and may have unintentionally offended someone (a combination of mental and sensory overload led to a louder than expected verbal outburst of frustration)
I’ve put out an apology and have asked for an accommodation to help with the sensory aspect, but I’m still churning inside and over thinking because of my shitty social and communication ‘skills’
Thanks for your comment, it sums things up ‘perfectly’ 🤣
No probs 👍
Well it is in Port Talbot, which is not a huge distance from Cardiff…maybe there’s a David Tennant nearby for someone to take home?
Like WoW type of pieces? A friend of mine used to collect and paint up pieces for table campaigns (not sure of the right terminology) they looked really good
I love Reedy’s work too, he has an incredibly large selection of film/comic/manga prints to explore. I could just post his work everyday and not get bored of it… and thank you for the feedback 👍
Get yourself a camera and have some fun!
Even if you do nothing with your photos, being out and about and thinking visually, looking for ideas, is all part of it and you can find different things in your environment… weird little nooks and crannies, bugs, interesting texture, it’s all there to be discovered
In the mean time, you can still get some quality photos with a phone camera, plus its usually always accessible, and can also be a ‘visual diary’ of places and photos you want to take with a better piece of kit
Go out there, and enjoy yourself 😀
Classic!
I can now hear in my head the rhythmic sound of it on the turn table just before the music kicks in…
It’s a really nice image isn’t it? I do like a nice pop of colour and some sort of crunchy texture to go with it 😀
That is delightful!
I thought it was one of your more restrained art creations until I clicked on the link, unless you also design cat emojis
Well that’s a bummer… I just finished watching Season 1 a couple of days ago, and was looking forward to seeing where they were going to go with the next one
This reminds me once again to be extra cautious of watching any Netfilx show unless it already has a couple of seasons under its belt…
…not that it worked for The OA. Fuck Netflix
That’s a proper soup strainer!
I think it’s probably time I did some stickied posts explaining the different processes etc… Stay tuned for some more Mega Posts! 👍
There are several active and very passionate communities online including Fragrantica and Basenotes…things can get incredibly nerdy when discussing perfume, believe it or not 😀
There’s also a fragrance community here on lemmy but I think it’s all but dead now…
As a perfume nerd I’d love to know what this smells like, and when it’ll be used to create a new niche fragrance
I could spend ages looking at all the detail and trying to interpret any hidden meaning/messages/symbolism in his work…They have an ancient (alien) civilisation feel
I also can’t get over the scale of the prints ‘Precession’ at 96x336 inches and still classed as an ongoing work!
It’s like being immersed in a temple or shrine with all the ceramic ‘artifacts’ in the installations, plus the monolith having echoes of standing stones/kabba/2001 Space Odyssey. It feels like he’s creating his own mythology… I can see why you’re drawn to his work, thanks for sharing 👍
Nice to see you posting here in person! 😀
If you like this they’ve have Iron Maiden’s mascot, Eddie in the same series, plus another Kiss print… the site is not the easiest to navigate tho
Wow! What an amazing building, it looks like a temple or church
I thought it was modern architecture at first glance, but the fact that it used to be a postal office, and it’s over a century old…
They certainly don’t make 'em like they used to
