Jellyfin: The Free Software Media System@lemmy.ml•The "resume from" option never gives me the right timestampEnglish
0·3 months agoMaybe back out into the Jellyfin app, then give it a second, then back out to the Roku home screen?
My running theory was that if I quit too quickly, the server would place the timestamp at the end of what had been pulled for buffering, but if I took a second, the webOS client could update the server with the actual timestamp. It seemed to be about 5-8 minutes ahead every time.

0·3 months agoI’ve had this issue as well with the WebOS client. I found that if I hit “back” to exit playback but not the app, it worked fine. The issue was only if I turned off the TV or exited the app, so I simply tried to avoid doing that.
I don’t have any other advice and never managed to actually fix the problem.
I survived the Newsfire and NetNewsWire war of the early 2000s 👴🏻
Holy shit NetNewsWire is still around. I was using it on 10.5 almost two decades ago.

3·5 months agoI hope he’s doing well too–I was just surprised since he seemed to really hit his stride then all of a sudden, nothing.
Thanks for taking it over! It’s definitely my favorite subsonic app as well. I couldn’t bear to see it die, like my previous favorite, subtracks.

2·5 months agoThere was, but it actually looks like you fixed it for 4.1.0: https://github.com/eddyizm/tempus/issues/35
So thanks! That one was driving me crazy since early Tempo days. Speaking of, have you had any contact with the original dev? He’s been MIA for a year or so, right?

3·5 months agoIncredible work as usual. Is the “Album track list bug” where it would be stuck in place when you first click on an album?
Shelfmark has similar functionality and isn’t vibe coded, to my knowledge
