Anybody know if messengers fall within this definition?
Reading your post earlier and got me thinking: are there more then one community type? As in …
There are FOSS communities which members find each other for FOSS sake.
But a more divers sort of community often gathers around the application.
For example, the OSMand community consists of cartography enthousiasts AND developers and everyone in between.
Although I like your app (intention and application, no scope creap etc) it doesnt unite users around a common goal. Which doesnt matter much because its still usefull.
Another example would be: Recently a website to convert student tests scores to grades started to ask money. If a FOSS app would provide this the community would consist also of teachers and test grading people.

“He himself is a billionaire” … Glad the forker made that clear in the first paragraph.
Not for Photos specific but F2 seems to fit some of your use cases. https://github.com/ayoisaiah/f2
Even can use Exif fields as variables in the naming scheme. https://github.com/ayoisaiah/f2/wiki/Built-in-variables#3-exif-variables
I use OSMand website to prepare and plan: routes and POI in folders for certain trips. Then I sync that to OSMand to have it on mobile. I think it’s part of the paid subscription.
Same experience
Oh , that’s cute this spammer thinks there must be an admin@mydomain.com etc
Only other downside I could think if is when my catch all cant be used to send a mail or reply.
So I do use them a lot for suppliers en services, but for registering initially and password reset. But I can’t use it to contact support by mail.
Mostly I rely on forms or self service portals when I need it as a customer.
Or its just miniturisation in contexts without a separate phone (aka IoT)?
“Supersims are popping up in shared rental scooters, fleet tracking devices, and digital billboards.”
F-Droid changed the label to Non-Free Network Services because just linking from a POI to a booking site alone (without affiliate linking etc) isn’t the privacy nightmare fdroid wants it to be.
I could use OM my whole life without clicking links from POI and never is anything exchanged with Kayak or OM.
If one does a booking at Kayak then sure Kayak takes all kind of PII. OM wouldnt know btw.
Non free network label is assigned because OM app is dependent on OM providing mapdata. And one cant change that. Its like OSMand can provide for OM or vice versa.
In that case … you could install StreetComplete without concern.
