Wow that is dumb.
My username is a wordplay on the Linux command filesystem check: fsck.
Wow that is dumb.
I think it would be important to include current version information on the cards. For example, Pocketbase is still very much in beta and they make breaking changes pretty frequently.
That’s not a good argument for GoDaddy. It just means that you and your company don’t care and are not qualified to make any claims about GoDaddy’s actual service.
The problem is they are screwing you over without you knowing about it. Just because you’re oblivious doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Yes, they make it easy to give them money, but the services they provide are horrendous when you know how they compare.
Of course, if you’re not qualified to determine how bad they are then you’re not going to see much of it. Just like if you don’t know anything about cars and your mechanic charges you way too much and for things that you don’t need, like “blinker fluid”, and you just think “oh this is fine”, that doesn’t mean that’s not an awful mechanic.
Mute the video?
There’s also this
The summary of the article isn’t even good. It buries the info in a bunch of other useless information, probably to increase word count and SEO. They could have included pictures from the video, too, but didn’t.
This blog post is worthless. A direct link to the official video announcement would be better.
What red flags?
Those symbols are from Sync, which is what I use.
The first symbol means that’s you.
The second means it was deleted, if you didn’t do it then a mod or admin did.
The last symbol means that person is banned in that community.

Not sure why your mobile app sucks, but here you go
The fact this is not coming from @ljdawson@lemmy.world themselves is another big piece of evidence of their inability to maintain a good relationship or even just a good line of communication with the community and people who pay/paid for the app/subscription.
I’ve defended them in the past for falling short of this sort of thing in the past, but at this point it’s inexcusable.
In my opinion, I think they need to hang it up and move on from Sync. They need to stop stringing people along. Or at least bring on another developer that can help move things along faster and maintain communication and expectations with the community.
