Just tried bentopdf, and lot of things are missing Like

it cannot run behind a custom proxy path

font are fixed to just three weird windows fonts

assumes only English, other languages come out as ???s

Just went back to struggling with pandoc

Have you tried switching to X11 for these games? I have had similar problems on wayland. wayland is still beta-ish imo.
