I went in for a root canal on a painful tooth in the top of my mouth. When I got there I learned they planned to pull one from the other side where there was no pain. I told them I didn’t think it was right, and then they pulled up my files and assured me it was right and we went ahead. But I still suspect it was unnecessary and I lost a perfectly good tooth

Right now Discord, Slack, and other chat platforms seem to be becoming dominant. But now everything is not only locked away from the open web, but also ephemeral.

Mastodon seems to be doing pretty well and continuing to grow. Lemmy seems to have been stagnant for many months now though. I guess we’re waiting on Reddit to piss their users off about something again before we’ll see another surge here.

But yes, if Valve came out with their own full fledged console, the Xbox would have a big problem. And it’s the operating system they fear the most. If SteamOS picks up traction beyond just the SteamDeck, Windows is in trouble
