My student debt is still a burden in the back of my mind and all of my available graduate-entry jobs are either severely underpaid or shilled out to robots that also vet my applications. Until the war profiteer and stock market billionaires actually pay their fair share (which they should have been a few years ago) or provide citizens with jobs that can sustain a healthy living, any good socialist promises that are made are flat-out lies because senility and flacid mental acuity won’t even be a valid excuse anymore.

It should be considered that America is investing in its infrastructure by making sure that its educated population of professionals and pre-professionals is able to find suitable work and stable living conditions debt-free. Instead of that, we have a severe lack of foundational jobs for the educated (unless you’re an overpaid nurse or engineer that will always be in demand), exacerbated cost of living, and foreign students taking away competitive education seats from American students. Everything has been one big sellout to the wealthy, domestic or otherwise, while average Americans and their students suffer. Student debt forgiveness isn’t a metric designed to be measured by a sum of money arbitrarily gained in return after investing, it’s an investment in the wellbeing of its society and its people.

With that kind of annual wage, you’d be one missed paycheck away from being unable to pay rent in NYC. Wonder if you’d have to arrest yourself for sleeping in the cruiser.

Lemmy is just as antisocially left-leaning as reddit. I was glad when Biden facilitated Covid vaccination but then everything stagnated for the rest of the four years. I’m not giving them four (or eight!!) more years of war monetization through a puppet president so that their corporate supporters can grow fatter while American citizens and infrastructure continues to suffer. I did ride-alongs back in freshman year at a big university. There was a digital display in the brief room showing all of the service vehicles in use at any given time and what equipment each one currently had. Only ONE being driven had a taser, all others had a rifle or shotgun in the back. They could afford a whole storeroom of ARs, but only provide one officer at a time with a taser. They were still using floppy disks in some of the rooms too.

Unbelievable and this was at least eight years ago. I’ll always remember that.

Big ol’ cascade effect. Even back in late 2015, they made an update to old-gen release consoles (PS3, 360) that prevented users from loading directly into Online upon booting up the game. If you chose that option; endless load loop and an eventual crash. From that point on until forever, you had to load singleplayer and use the shoddy interface to select an Online game for your multiplayer character.

They have a history of ruining Online with every update. I can only imagine all of the problems that accumulated since then, if it is even playable at all on those consoles.
