Yo
Smart move the latter, ~didn’t think it.
About the former, I recently realized in practice that it’s important to pick up activities etc. that you like and that attract people you can bond with. For example I like weightlefting at gym, but I realized it attracts so many people with repulsive ideologies, while I tried dancing and mobility classes the same gym offers and the environment was much much better, I found many good people there. (I still do weightlifting though and I found some good people there too.)
Plus, voicing your opinions helps a lot to filter people (I’m struggling a lot with this though).
Lol, people here do a lot of assumptions. I typically do like ~9k steps each day, I spent a lot of time outside, go to gym etc. but 1)having hard tasks to do and 2)spending a lot of time alone (alone meaning without interacting face to face with real friends) for various reasons contributes to this.
I’m just checking my social media apps for any new messages and maybe droify for updates. After checking them in the morning I kinda think to myself that now job is done and any more time I spend of my morning on them is kinda wasted. Checking social media from time to time and speaking with your friends seems kinda healthy, but doomscrolling is kind of a waste after a point (happens if I’m too bored to start my day).
The thing is, after I check all these, I might go in a loop due to boredom (boredom may have many many reasons behind it). When I have tasks to do or I’m in a period that my friends and I are busy, this is more intense. The phone is an easy and portable distraction. All these contribute to an increase of phone usage (currently I’m in one of those situations and phone usage has increased probably by at least 50%).
Aw thank you. I that it’s a thing people do here on lemmy so I thought about doing it too.
I see you are efficient by using only 1 app😆
Nice
I did it, but it’s my first time doing it😆
Should I change something? (I think I put a lot of info that may be unnecessary.)
Just installed it🙃
Thank you!!
Ayyy
If I’m alone I tend to walk in circles inside for like 0.5-1 hour or more thinking about stuff (with or without music). It’s soothing😌
I also pace when waiting bus etc.
(Even when I sit I pace some times.🫣 Leg goes up and down.)
Insular (the degoogled open source version of Island) has a page comparing Island, Shelter and Insular
https://secure-system.gitlab.io/Insular/faq.html
I don’t know if its updated, but you can pick the ones that fits your needs.
I picked Island because I thought I may have issues with my notifications if I had chosen Insular. (Plus, there was this bug I was talking about and thought that it would fix it. Installing Island wasnt the solution, but I had already spent a lot of time/days setting up my phone multiple times and didnt want to try it again, with the possibility of problematic notifications.)
Those “root checks” are a joke. ~Nobody raises a brow if you are an admin user with root privilages on windows, (desktop) linux or macos. But it’s such a huuuge deal when you manage to actually own and use your own mobile device the way you want by breaking free from what they impose on you, ugh…
Any app that doesnt work when you have root access ~shouldn’t be used at first place…
Lsposed is a magisk/ksu module that has its own modules too. Like a manager insude a manager giving you even more options.

I was setting up my phone for about two weeks some months ago (the was a bug with xiaomi and work profile)😅
Oh oke oke. I had issues with magisk a few months before I switch. I think there were incompatibility issues between magisk and lsposed manager, so I did a full reset, I upgraded the rom (from a beta version from November 2021 of the rom xiaomi.eu miui 12.6/android 11, I went to xiaomi.eu hyperOS/android13) and installed apatch so that I dont have incompatibikity issues (plus, it hides root much better).
Have you tried apatch as an alternative to magisk?
It ~combines rhe advantages of magisk and kernelsu
Aaaalmost happened to me, unti one I day I thought about putting inside a cup of milk, a banana, 1-2table spoons of greek yogurt and a vanilla icecream protein poweder scoop (from ON if it matters). I made my blender useful again and found a simple and quick breakfast :)
