The green party is the “thoughts and prayers” of American politics. Sounds good, but doesn’t really do anything.

It’s not at all like that. People are just sick of your inflammatory bs. We all see what you’re doing, and it’s all bad faith through and through.

So posting political news articles is “inflammatory bs” now?!

I didn’t write the articles, friend.

We all see what you’re doing

          And what is that?

I don’t care if Trump is elected as I am not afraid of him. I don’t like him, but I am not afraid of him. And I don’t think he has any chance of winning.

And I’m not voting for him.

And for the record, I have said that many times. So your screenshot is no “gotcha” since I have said it in several comments.

And I stand by what I said.

Also, for the record, if I DID want to vote for him, that would be my right. It’s not against the law to vote for Trump. He’s an idiot and I don’t know why people would want to vote for him, but it’s not against the law. So calm down.

Hey, genius, no one ever said it was illegal. Just shows how uninformed and, quite frankly, idiotic your stance is. If you don’t see Trump as a threat to democracy, the so-called thing you’re supposedly all about, and the one thing that’s allowing you to speak your mind about the idiotic things you “believe” then you’re just as bad as someone voting for him.

Hey, genius, no one ever said it was illegal.

Good. So you can calm down. Almost half of the country is not voting for your candidate. Welcome to democracy.

I’m not scared of Trump. I don’t care how mad that makes you. You can be scared of him. That’s totally your right. I respect your rights, you can respect mine.

Just to save everyone time, OP is here to spread propaganda that benefits the GOP and their electoral chances because they (wrongly and incredibly moronically) feel it will help their own political goals.

Regardless of their supposed political views they claim to have, this has been pointed out ad infinitum and they only respond with bad faith arguments and deflection. Everything they have posted here should be disregarded in its entirety until they want to stop playing games.

Jill Stein is not a serious person.

Just what do you think my political goals are? I’m not voting GOP. Never have. Never will.

I’m of two minds on this. I feel like this is a little bit of undemocratic action that is in service of preventing much more massive undemocratic action from happening.

    1. Stein’s candidacy, with Trump on the ballot, is a risk to democracy. She’s not on all the ballots, the odds of her winning are basically impossible, and she can only really help the guy who attempted a coup.
    2. If the state guided the Greens to use the form without county names, removing them from the ballot for this technically is pretty petty and arguably undemocratic.

We need ranked choice voting nationally.

Yep. They prove it every election by throwing a fit whenever people are given more voting options. lol

And yet, lots of people just blindly support them. Not me, though!

Where is the green party the other 3.5 years of every election cycle. Poof like ghosts.

The greens have never helped America in any way.

They are not a viable 3rd party cuz they can’t get to 270.

To cut through the nonsense and save everyone time, especially since many in this community have a habit of resorting to personal attacks when responding to my posts recently: I support and respect everyone’s right to vote for who they want to.

I’m just posting this article that’s already available on a much bigger platform than Lemmy—I didn’t write it, just sharing it for discussion.

I’m clarifying all of this due to past posters refusing to refrain from insults, as well as repeated baseless accusations that I’m a Republican, Russian, and/or that I’m not even an American citizen (sorry guys, I’m all American)

So I’d prefer we stick to discussing the article’s politics rather than focusing on me personally, if you’d like to engage with me. Now if you wanna just talk crap about me but not talk to me, then feel free. But I don’t really think that fits in with the spirit of this awesome community.

I’m not here to prove anything to you. I’ll keep posting content that fits the community’s guidelines, and if you feel otherwise, the mods are available. Thank you!
