PHOENIX — Phoenix Fire Department officials say four women were injured after a vehicle crashed into a bus stop Wednesday morning.

The collision happened near 46th Street and Baseline Road around 8:15 a.m.

Officials say a single vehicle crashed into a bus stop, leaving six people in need of treatment. One of the victims was trapped and had to be extricated, officials say.

Phoenix police officials say four women were sitting at a bus stop when they were struck. They were all taken to a hospital for treatment of various injuries. One of the women is listed in critical condition.

Crews at the scene were told one of the victims was a 16-year-old girl and suffered from what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation led detectives to believe speed was a factor in the crash.
